The Owners
Alfred Snape Frederick Read Arthur Ward
The ownership of the Ambassador evolved over the years, but one consistent presence throughout its time as a cinema/theatre was the Snape family. It began with Alfred Snape, one of the founding partners, and continued under the stewardship of his son, Brian Snape, until it was sold to Mecca in 1964.
